In 1983 Durrell decided to buy out Morgan’s share of the company and in 1986 Durrell sold the business to Bob Young, Morgan’s Brother-in-Law. Since then Bob has worked to turn Hub City Body Works into what it is today. A company based on honesty, integrity, and quality of work. Their reputation within the community means everything to them. Hub City will continue to be a family based business since Bob’s daughter Angel has taken the position of Shop Manager. For the last 36 years Hub City Body Works has set out to be a pioneer for the auto collision industry in Lubbock, TX. Hub City was started in 1970 by two brothers, Morgan and Durrell Baker. When they realized there were no independent body shops that had the proper equipment to provide quality work outside the car dealerships they decided to make their move. The two brothers started out in a 40 X 60 building, followed by a bigger facility and paint shop. In 1975 they moved to the location which exists today.
